Maxi dogs have a life expectancy of about 10 years. To combat the effects of ageing, the nutritional measures adopted from the adult stage must be intensified after the age of 5 years.

Royal Canin's Maxi Breed Mature food is designed to delay the effects of ageing by means of a reduced phosphorus content for kidney function, contains 26% proteins to prevent muscle wastage and vitamins E and C for cell protection.

Favours correct cardiac function through the inclusion of taurine that stimulates its contraction.

Protects the joints by means of a high glucosamine and chondroitin content and omega 3 fatty acids (from fish oil) that reduce inflammation especially in cases of arthritis.
